The storyteller, many years ago

Alan Early is a storyteller.
He tells stories both with words and with images, as a motion graphics designer and a published author.

With a degree from the National Film School IADT - and currently working on a second degree in Moving Image Design in NCAD - he has produced award-winning films as well as motion graphic pieces for such clients as thisispopbaby, Friends of the Earth Europe and Una McKevitt Productions. Some examples of his recent video-based and animation work can be seen here.

His love of storytelling grew from an early age, when he would write short stories and comicbooks. In 2011, his critically acclaimed 'Father of Lies' trilogy was released. Described by Eoin Colfer as 'a brilliant creation', the first in the series was chosen as the inaugural UNESCO Dublin City of Literature children's reading project. Read more about his writing work here.

While he enjoys storytelling, he dislikes writing biographies about himself in the third person.
