I took part in the 2020 ICAD Upstarts program. It's a wonderful inititive designed to introduce new designers to the industry. As part of the program, we were set a range of briefs. This is one such brief.
We were asked by CI to design something that could promote Irish arts during the Covid-19 Pandemic. Whatever we came up with could be used after the pandemic.
My submission was Fadó, a website promoting Irish children’s literature. Consisting of two portals — one for children and one for teachers — it allows schools and libraries to connect directly with authors. It includes the possibilty of online workshops, games, quizzes and chats with the writers. To promote the site, I also created a series of animations and posters.
